With one man every hour dying from prostate cancer and 40,000 new cases every year and no national screening available, we aim to provide a PSA blood test to as many men 40+. It's well proven that early detection and treatment may vastly increase chances of survival.

Based on the success of our 2019 Prostate Cancer Awareness day, which due to Covid-19 we are unable to repeat at this time, The Lions Club of New Milton are working in partnership with the Graham Fulford Trust to facilitate offering men a simple finger prick test that can be done at home.

The home testing kits are sent to your home address, you take a blood sample following the simple instructions provided, then return it to a specified Laboratory for processing and within a few days you will learn the results and get advice if any further action is recommended.

Our Club's Geographic Area

The Lions Club of New Milton this year celebrates it's Golden Anniversary and despite the current Covid-19 pandemic, continues to be a very prominent club in the New Forest, having recently been joined by members from the Lymington and Brockenhurst Club, which recently ceased operating.

To the North we are bounded by Lions Clubs in Ringwood and Fordingbridge and to the East by the Romsey & Waterside Clubs and so Lions continues to be a powerful force in The New Forest, supporting local charitable and community causes and global projects in diverse geographic areas.

Saturday 1st May 2021

Because of the current lockdown during this Covid-19 Pandemic, obviously face-to-face gatherings and the staging of large events is not possible. With a very heavy heart, we have reluctantly had to cancel the planned Annual Lions May Fayre, which is a key part of our Club's fundraising activities.  This event should have been held on Saturday 1st May 2021.

We do however continue to meet using the Zoom Software every two weeks to continue our important work, and in addition hold a Zoom Social Fun Evening once a month.

The Lions Club of New Milton is pleased to announce that it will be organising The New Milton Christmas Festival to be held on Saturday 27th November in the Town Centre.

Around the United Kingdom

There are over 1,000 Lions Clubs across  the United Kingdom encompassing some 18,000 members and almost 40% of those members are Ladies.

Whenever there is a large event in a Community, you will likely find Lions are involved in some way.

The most memorable fact about Lions Clubs is that every penny we collect through fund-raising goes direct to support good causes.

Our administration costs are paid for by members’ annual subscriptions.

Across the World

When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: We serve.

In over 200 countries, in hospitals and seniors centres, in regions battered by natural disaster, in schools and eyeglass recycling centres, Lions are doing community voluntary work, helping, leading, planning and supporting. Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. And because we're global, we can address challenges that go beyond borders.
